TCFFL Player Registration

1. The activity. My daughter (the "Player") wants to take part in TCFFL, an all-girls flag football league run by The Council Flag Football League and the Georgia Council of Youth Sports (together, the "League"). This includes practices, games, scrimmages, travel to and from fields, and related events.
2. The risks. Flag football is a physical sport. Players run, cut, jump, and reach, and they can collide with other players, the ground, or equipment. Injuries can include sprains, strains, broken bones, cuts, bruises, concussions and other head injuries, and heat illness. In rare cases injuries can be serious, permanent, or fatal. Weather, field conditions, and the actions of players, coaches, or spectators can add risk. I understand that careful play, rules, and equipment reduce these risks but cannot remove them.
3. Voluntary participation. Taking part is voluntary. I have talked with the Player about the risks and the rules, and she wants to play. I will tell the League about anything that could affect her safety to play, and I will keep her home when she is sick or hurt.
4. Concussions and heat. I understand that the League may remove a player from play if she shows signs of a concussion or heat illness, and may require clearance from a health care provider before she returns.
5. Rules. The Player will follow the League's rules and her coaches' instructions, and will wear any equipment the League requires.
6. Release. In exchange for letting the Player take part, I, for myself and for the Player, release The Council Flag Football League, the Georgia Council of Youth Sports, and their officers, staff, coaches, volunteers, and field owners from claims for injury, illness, or loss that result from taking part, to the fullest extent the law allows. This release does not cover gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
7. If part of this is unenforceable. If a court finds any part of this waiver unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
8. My confirmation. I am the Player's parent or legal guardian. I have read this waiver, I understand it, and I am signing it voluntarily.

If my daughter is hurt or becomes ill during any league activity, I authorize league staff and coaches to get emergency medical care for her, including calling 911 and having her taken to a hospital or treated by a licensed medical provider. I understand that the league will try to reach me and my emergency contact first, but I authorize treatment if no one can be reached in time. I confirm that the health information I gave on the registration form is accurate, and I will update the league about any changes. I allow the league to share relevant health information with medical providers when needed for her care. I am responsible for the cost of any treatment.

TCFFL is built on sportsmanship, respect, and having fun. My daughter and I agree to treat players, coaches, referees, volunteers, and families with respect, and to play fairly and follow the rules. We will not use bullying, taunting, rough or unsafe play, or abusive or discriminatory language, on or off the field. As a parent or guardian, I will cheer positively, let coaches coach and referees make the calls, and stay calm and respectful at games and practices. I understand that a player or parent who ignores this code may be spoken to, asked to leave an event, or removed from the league at the league's discretion. Our goal is for every girl to feel safe, supported, and proud to be part of the team.

I give TCFFL and the Georgia Council of Youth Sports permission to take photos and videos of my daughter during league activities and to use them in league communications, such as the website, social media, newsletters, and promotional materials. I understand she will not be paid and that the league will not publish her full name or contact information with her image unless I say it's okay. This permission is optional, and registering does not depend on it. I may withdraw it at any time by emailing info@gcoys.org, and the league will stop using her image in new materials.

What we collect. When you register, we collect your child's name, date of birth, age division, grade, school, and jersey size. We collect your name, email, phone number, and home address. We collect an emergency contact's name, relationship, and phone number. We also collect any allergies, medical conditions, or accommodations you choose to share, your child's league preferences, your agreement choices, and your typed signature with the date.

How we use it. TCFFL and GCOYS use this information to run the league: placing players on teams, ordering jerseys, contacting families, responding to emergencies, and confirming payment. We may email you about your registration.

Medical information. Medical and accommodation details are kept separate from general registration information and are available only to league staff who need them to keep players safe.

Payment. Payments are processed by Square on its secure payment page. We never see or store your card number. We keep only a record of whether the registration fee was paid.

Sharing. We do not sell your information. We share it only with the service providers that run our website, storage, and payments, and where required by law or to protect a child's safety.

Photos and video. We use photos or videos of your child only if you checked the optional photo/video release.

How long we keep it. We keep registration records as long as needed to run the league and meet our legal and safety obligations.
